What is Electricity ?

Electricity is briefly defined as the  flow of electric charge Charge  is a property of matter–just like mass, volume, or density. It is measurable. Just as you can quantify how much mass something has, you can measure how much charge it has. The key concept with charge is that it can come in two types:  positive (+) or negative (-) . In order to move charge we need  charge carriers , and that’s where our knowledge of atomic particles–specifically electrons and protons–comes in handy. Electrons always carry a negative charge, while protons are always positively charged. Neutrons (true to their name) are neutral, they have no charge. Both electrons and protons carry the same  amount  of charge, just a different type. While electrons carry negative charge, the protons carry positive charge. Current electricity is the form of electricity which makes all of our electronic gizmos possible. This form of electricity exists when charges are able to  c...

What is Rain ?

Rain can be described as liquid water in the form of water droplets that are formed by the condensation and precipitation of the water vapor in the atmosphere that are part of the naturally occurring Hydrological cycle most commonly known as the Water Cycle. It is imperative that it rains according the natural seasonal calendar for countries that are dependent on agriculture the rain water is the life line and for the rest providing drinking water for the rest of the year. Rain water is essential to prevent a barren land and water scarcity and to sustain all life forms on this planet. What are Clouds ?

A cloud is a mass of water drops or ice crystals suspended in the atmosphere. Clouds form when water condenses in the sky. The condensation lets us see the water vapor. There are many different types of clouds. Clouds are an important part of Earth's weather and climate. How are they formed? Clouds form from water in the sky. The water may  evaporate  from the ground or move from other areas. Water vapor is always in the sky in some amount but is invisible. Clouds form when an area of air becomes cooler until the water vapor there  condenses  to liquid form. At that point, the air is said to be " saturated " with water vapor. The air where the cloud forms must be cool enough for the water vapor to condense. The water will condense around things like dust, ice or sea salt - all known as condensation nuclei. The temperature, wind and other conditions where a cloud forms determine what type of cloud it will be. Types of Clouds ? Clouds are categorized primaril...

What is a Water Cycle ?

Water Cycle is a naturally occurring Hydrological cycle by which water is recycled back to the earth in the form of rain to help sustain life on the planet because water is the main ingredient without which life does not exist on this planet. "The water cycle describes how water evaporates from the surface of the earth, rises into the atmosphere, cools and condenses into rain or snow in clouds, and falls again to the surface as precipitation. The water falling on land collects in rivers and lakes, soil, and  porous  layers of rock, and much of it flows back into the oceans, where it will once more evaporate. The cycling of water in and out of the atmosphere is a significant aspect of the  weather  patterns on Earth." -  https://pmm.nasa.gov/education/water-cycle Hence the Water cycle essentially tell us the evaporation of water in the gaseous form (water vapor) into the atmosphere and due to temperature changes condenses and falls back on earth in the form ...

What is Water ?

Water is most abundant chemical substance which is almost colorless and odorless ( no smell particular to it) available on Earth. It is in the liquid state which when subjected to certain temperature changes converts itself into either into Ice (Solid) or Water Vapor (Gas) Its chemical formula is H2O - 2 atoms of Hydrogen and One Atom of Oxygen that are connected to each other by covalent bonds. Almost 96% of Earth is contains and still it is one of most scarce resource available to mankind in many places. What is an ATOM ?

An ATOM  is the smallest particle of the matter. Atoms are so small that they are not visible to naked eye. It takes a powerful scientific instrument to observe these atoms. They are responsible for the properties a matter is said to posses. Usually they are of the size of 100 pico meters ( a ten-billionth of meter which the SI unit of Length) Atoms are made up of Protons,Neutrons and dynamic particles known as electrons which keep circling the nucleus of an atom. What is Gravity ?

Gravity is a force of attraction that exists between any two masses, any two bodies, any two particles.  Gravity is not just the attraction between objects and the Earth. It is an attraction that exists between all objects, everywhere in the universe.  Sir Isaac Newton (1642 -- 1727) discovered that a force is required to change the speed or direction of movement of an object.  He also realized that the force called "gravity" must make an apple fall from a tree, or humans and animals live on the surface of our spinning planet without being flung off.  Furthermore, he deduced that gravity forces exist between all objects. Why is the Sky Blue?

The Sky always appear in Blue color even though we have a variety of other colors- do you know why? It's because  Sunlight reaches Earth's atmosphere and is  scattered  in all directions by all the gases and particles in the air. Blue light is scattered in all directions by the tiny molecules of air in Earth's atmosphere. Blue is scattered more than other colors because it travels as shorter, smaller waves.  This is why we see blue sky most of the time. What is a Solar Panel ?

Solar panels are those devices which are used to absorb the sun's rays and convert them into electricity or heat.  A solar panel is actually a collection of solar (or photo-voltaic) cells, which is used to generate electricity by a phenomenon called as photo-voltaic effect.  These cells are arranged in a grid-like pattern on the surface of solar panels which is called as a  photo-voltaic module.  A photo-voltaic (PV) module is an assembly of usually 6x10 solar cells connected together tightly so as to form a continuous channel of electricity to the grid it is attached to.  Usually the solar panels are made up by crystal form of silicon solar cells.  Solar Panel are Strong and Sturdy and hence even after exposure to extreme weather conditions we their operational efficiency is slightly reduced and provides uninterrupted use

What is Solar Energy ?

SOLAR ENERGY is defined as " light and heat energy received directly from the Sun".  "Solar" is the Latin word for "sun" and it's a powerful source of energy. Without it, there will be no life. Solar energy is considered as a serious source of energy for many years because of the vast amounts of energy that is made freely available, if harnessed by modern technology. This energy is in the form of solar radiation, which makes the production of solar electricity possible.Solar cells are devices that convert light energy directly into electrical energy. In these cells, there are something known as semiconductors (partial electricity and heat conductors - hence the prefix - semi).
